Big news today as we reveal the first two shows of our Transform 25 programme!

From 21–25 October, Transform 25 creates a meeting point for the bold, the electrifying, the reflective and hopeful. This autumn in Leeds, witness visceral theatre, dance and performance alongside intimate experiences and moments of assembly.

Ahead of our full festival programme launch on Wednesday 16 July, we’re thrilled to announce two shows at Leeds Playhouse, both going on general sale on Tuesday 1 July.

On Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 October, see EXXY by Dan Daw Creative Projects. Audacious, vulnerable and tender, this new work was co-commissioned by Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, Battersea Arts Centre, Transform, Take Me Somewhere and Tramway for the New Dimensions commission. After the smash-hit world tour of his last show, (The Dan Daw Show) EXXY takes us back to where Dan began – working class, with very little – to reflect on how far he has come.

Back by popular demand, after the roaring success of MEXA’s Pumpitopera Transatlantica at Transform 23, we’re ecstatic to welcome the Brazilian artist collective back to Leeds again in 2025 – presenting The Last Supper. On Saturday 25 October, join MEXA for this performance-banquet, with a party atmosphere and a powerful sense of solidarity. Food, farewells, religion, transition – The Last Supper is a feast of melancholy and joy.

Both shows are being presented in collaboration with our brilliant friends at Take Me Somewhere. We’re thrilled to be coming together to bring this incredible, ambitious work to both Leeds and Glasgow – supporting artists to hold big, bold conversations with the world.

With our continued commitment to financial access, all tickets are Pay What You Can. You’re invited to choose the price you can afford – whether that’s £2 or paying over and above the recommended price to support our work.

Book a free ticket here to join us for our Transform 25 Launch Party to discover our full programme on Wednesday 16 July and celebrate 10 years of Transform, with DJs, dancing and drinks.

Transform 25 is supported using public funding by Arts Council England and funded by Leeds City Council & UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
