Opening the festival alongside Ásrún Magnúsdóttir’s SECRETS, Transform’s Young Curators present IF WALLS COULD TALK.

Experience a specially curated immersive audio exhibition pre and post show – featuring up-and-coming Leeds poets and spoken word artists exploring how secrets can become hidden monsters.

  • Wed 11 Oct, 6–7.30pm & 8.30–9.30pm (Before & after SECRETS performance)
  • Thu 12 Oct, 12.30–2pm & 3–4pm (Before & after SECRETS matinee performance)

What to expect

An intimate exhibition of live and pre-recorded audio, experienced mainly through headphones. There will be low lighting and chairs available around the space. The exhibition contains poetry and music.

Audience members are free to come and go as they please. Each audio piece will be around 3 or 4 minutes long. Visitors can stay and listen to as many as they choose.

This epic new show is created by Icelandic artist Ásrún Magnúsdóttir in collaboration with an incredible collective of young Leeds based performers and artists. Original music gives voice to the unspoken worries and private lives of teenagers – from soulful melodies to electric and rousing rhythms.
