The Sound Grief Project – Listening Party
Wed 16 Mar 2022
Lua Bairstow
[UK]Sharing the impact on brain and body of an event so sudden and significant that it changes life’s landscape from one day to the next, this intimate live performance is akin to a highly visceral concept album, a soundscape to escape into.
Following a process of creative development support with Transform and Bradford Producing Hub, for Transform 21-22, Lua presents an early sharing of ‘The Sound Grief Project’, an informal listening party designed to stimulate vital discussion and reflection around death and grief.
Lua Bairstow (they/her) is a Bradford-based multidisciplinary artist and works as a performer, writer, director and movement director. Lua was recently awarded a co-commission from, Transform & Bradford Producing Hub, to develop The Sound Grief Project, a sound – led performance piece, where Lua has been composing music for the first time.
Co-commissioned by Transform and Bradford Producing Hub.
