JOIN A BRAND NEW COLLECTIVE

ARE YOU AGED 16-21 & LIVING IN LEEDS?

WANT TO EXPLORE YOUR CREATIVITY & IDEAS?

MAYBE YOU WANT TO PERFORM OR ORGANISE STUFF?

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY...

DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT THE WORLD?

THEN BE A FUTURE RADICAL.

Future Radicals is a brand new collective for young people aged 16-21 in Leeds, who want to explore their creativity and have something they want to say about the world. Maybe you’re interested in theatre, arts, festivals or just making stuff happen? Maybe you want to try something different? Maybe you’re just curious to find out what Future Radicals is all about?

WE ARE LOOKING FOR 20 YOUNG PEOPLE ACROSS LEEDS TO BE PART OF A BRAND NEW COLLECTIVE

Break Line

You will:

  • Exchange ideas with other young people from across Leeds.
  • Learn from artists from around the world.
  • Express yourself and debate.
  • Develop new creative projects or performances.
  • Learn how to organise festivals or tell people about them.
  • Take charge of a major element of the Transform international festival.

In return for your time we’ll provide transport to sessions, food and hospitality, and organise any access or translation requirements you might have.

HOW TO APPLY

You can download the expression of interest form here.

Please send this as soon as you can to info@transformfestival.org, and at the latest by Monday 10 September.

If you need any support with the expression of interest, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are happy to receive responses by video message or sound clip if preferred. We are also happy for someone else to submit the expression of interest on your behalf.

If you would prefer to post your expression of interest that’s fine too. Please send to: Transform, Munro House, Duke St, Leeds LS9 8AG.

NEXT STEPS

Send your expression of interest as soon as you can. The deadline is Monday 10 September. You may then be invited to a workshop on Saturday 22 September so we can get to know you better.

  • Then, if you are invited to be part of the collective, the first workshop weekend will be on Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 October
  • You will then need to attend occasional two or three day workshops throughout Autumn 2018.
  • From January 2019 there will be weekly sessions.
  • There will be a creation period during Easter 2019 leading up to the Transform 19 festival in late April.
  • All dates will work around school or college commitments for those who are participating in education.
