For our major new production WANTED, Chris Goode & Company are working with a diverse range of individuals, families, community groups and local organisations from across the city of Leeds, and asking them the question, “what do you most want to see happen on stage?”
As research for the project, back in January the Transform team spent an afternoon walking around Leeds and asking people that very same question. We got some amazing answers, including several people wishing for David Bowie to come back to life on stage, those wanting important topics to be given a platform, along with ideas ranging from the beautiful and bizarre, including real life pokemon, an elephant dancing on its hind legs, and glitter drops!
We gave just a few of these answers to Leeds based designers and artists from Rabbit Hole & Prints of Thieves who then created unique, limited edition screen printed posters, which are now appearing in special locations across the city. In the final production of WANTED on 22 & 23 April at West Yorkshire Playhouse, you can see what the many people we’ve been working with have decided to dream up on stage, as part of a unique, unforgettable show.
To celebrate the launch of WANTED, we are offering one of these beautiful, limited edition posters, along with two free tickets to the show, to one lucky winner!
To enter, tweet @Transform_Leeds and briefly tell us the thing that YOU would most like to see happen on stage. The creative team from the show will select their favourite answer on Friday 15 April, and we will then announce the winner!
