Amy Letman

Creative Director

Amy is an independent producer and curator based in Leeds. She is Creative Director of Transform, taking responsibility for the organisation artistically and strategically.

She was previously Associate Producer at Leeds Playhouse for four years, where she established the artist development programme, produced special projects and shows, and led on Transform. She left the Playhouse in 2014 to focus on developing Transform as an independent, citywide and international organisation.

Amy’s interests are in international festivals, site-specific and socially engaged practice. She has produced independently for artists including RashDash, Unlimited Theatre and David Shearing, and was a member of the artistic committee for the Leeds European Capital of Culture 2023 bid. She originally trained with Fuel, London Artists Projects, HERE Arts Centre (NYC) and studied BA Drama & Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Amy travels widely and has received the Artists International Development Award on two occasions for occasions.

General Manager

Sammy is General Manager of Transform, leading on the operations and strategic direction of the organisation.

She has worked for a number of organisations including Assembly Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Society, Ilkley Literature Festival, Incoming Festival, stage@leeds and Light Night Leeds, amongst others.

Sammy is interested in producing and collaborating on work that is socially engaging; that challenges stereotypes and social norms in innovative and exciting ways. Her interests are informed by her studies at The University of Leeds, where she studied BA English and History (Joint Honours), and gravitated towards postcolonial literature, feminist study and queer history.

The newest member of the Transform team, Sammy is looking forward to the challenges and opportunities afforded by embarking with such a fresh and ambitious organistion.
