The Believers Are But Brothers
Thu 20 & Fri 21 April
This show grew out of my desire to reframe the discussion around violence and extremism to one that didn’t seem so Islamophobic; after spending time online trying to speak to young British Muslims who had gone to Syria to join ISIS, I met with academics and journalists who specialise in these issues, and spent one around neo Nazi and alt right websites trying to talk to them too. This show has become about the Internet, men, resentment, and what we do when we are denied the things we think we deserve.
